I am using this module with theme 1 and am finding that the subcategories are listed as if they were main categories, in addition to being listed underneath their parent category. this completely breaks the desired behavior. please advise.

see the attached screenshot. the orange blocks represent the correct parent/child display. as you can see, the child cats are also listed as if they were parent cats.
