I find a great deal of beauty associated with most of smartaddons.com products. However, there are a few disturbing things that I hope the team will address.

1) Templates designed for Joomla 2.5 components; without Joomla 3.x, especially 3.2 now, is kind of problematic. Your templates should be designed with Joomla 3.2 in mind, and you should not release templates for joomla 2.5 without the joomla 3.x version being made available.

2) I have been a member here for two years now, and was told that you were updating all of your modules for Joomla 3.x. This has not happened. I think it's better to say that you will not be updating modules until you're sure they will be updated. It makes SA look unreliable.

3) I would suggest making your templates so it's possible to load the site's 'LOGO' as a module. This would give customers the benefit of using animated gifs, or swf files for logos.

4) There are many coding errors that lead to bottlenecks with loading your products. You can see this for yourself by testing any of your products via: gtmetrix.com . YSLOW and PAGE SPEED grades indicate several easily fixable issues with smartaddons.com products that would make your products far superior to many others.

All in all, smartaddons is a good joomla provider, and I do recommend smart addons quite often. I think the problems above should be resolved, as soon as possible, so that smartaddons can be rated #1 in the joomla clubs I recommend to my friends, clients, and others.

I would have to agree with you on these points. I am a new member, and seeing SJ Snap released 2 months ago available for Joomla 2.5 just doesn't make sense. Its a nice looking template, and I would have loved to use it for one of my projects, but I cannot see myself building anything new on a Joomla 2.5 platform.

It's really disturbing to see new templates being released that service only outdated versions of Joomla.

SmartAddons next release, SJ Flat News, hopefully, will be designed strictly around Joomla 3.x, and hopefully, will work flawlessly with Joomla 3.2. Most of SA's current modules do not work well with Joomla 3.2 unfortunately, so I don't know what the long term ramifications will be for that.

I love the design concepts in many of SA's templates, but if they continue to release products for outdated Joomla, or components that can't keep up with the evolution of Joomla, I'm afraid I'm going to have to find another templates club that does. I don't want to leave here, because as I said, the design "concepts" are very nice.

I discovered a few days ago that SJ Financial doesn't work well with Joomla 3.2, which two of my personal site are based upon. It's really frustrating.

Nice to see your feedback again

At this time, we have many customers who are using eCommerce templates. Some components using for eCommerce websites are developed version component for Joomla 2.5, so we still develop our products for both of Joomla 2.5 and Joomla 3.x. With some old, we're testing on Joomla 3.2 and will update as soon as possible. We're trying and hope can update some recent products for Joomla 3.2 within next month. SJ Financial is included in there.

I would like to answer for Steve Johnson that, SJ Snap is using Listbingo component, one component is developed for Joomla 2.5. You can refer here: gobingoo.com/listbingo-2-5-products for reading more. So the updating of this template will be depended on new version of Listbingo component.

I think that even if a component is not ready for Joomla 3.x, it would be wise if SA made a Joomla 3.x version of the specific template without the component. That way, once a component is ready for J3.x, only a few tweeks here and there, or css modifications need to be done.

Have also been using SJ Joomla templates for about 23 years and can't still find better looking templates out there than those you guys created...

However, I have to admit, just like Walter and Steve, that I would like to see the use of all available resources today to move away from 2.5 and offer a 3.x option for all the major templates you provide. For my part, I am using SJ Company which has been migrated and SJ Restaurant which is not. As I indicated elsewhere, there are alternatives such as your new beautiful SJ Royal, but this means redesign and efforts to upgrade a live website...
