I would like to remove the profile picture module and use the logo instead in the home page...

You could change the image by go to Module manager -> Profile Pic module (top-nav position), then remove the image and change by your image in Custom HTML.

In Module Manager, find modules in yt_slideshow and topnav positions and turn off theme.
And then go to template.css file, find this code

.homepage #yt_logoposition {
visibility:hidden
}

and remove.
