On SJ Extra Slider I don't want it to automatically play. I tried changing the interval from 5000 to 0 in the carousel.js file, but apparently that isn't it.

Also what is the difference between Extra Slider and News Extra Slider?

They are the same.
Perhaps, in the template we overrried this module and removed the Autoplay option.
