[SOLVED] Native tags aren't displayed in Joomla 3. 10 years, 10 months ago #10176

In Joomla 3.1.1 I've created articles and selected tags for them. But I couldn't see tags anywhere in the article or in article list

I tried to change global and local article preferences Show tags - Hide/Show but it didn't help.

Any suggestions?

Dear Scotty,

I've check on default Joomla 3.1 and SJ Joomla3 , there aren't any options 'show Tag' like your screenshot.

global settings: system => Global configuration => Articles => Show tags (7th option from the bottom)

local settings: article => Article options => Show tags (3rd option from the top)

Dear Scotty,

Since Joomla 3.0 update, tags do not show on the main page and categories anymore. I checked on my site, there is not any tag field on Global configuration=>Articles => Show tags. You can use component or plugin to show tag.

I'm sorry - it should be a misunderstanding but native tagging system was _introduced_ only in Joomla 3.1 update: docs.joomla.org/Joomla_3_FAQ

I doubt the fact that tags functionality was dropped by Joomla before it was adopted
Anyway in my clean installation of Joomla 3.1.1 downloaded from official site tags are showing in default template but not in SJ Joomla 3.

Don't get me wrong - I really like your template and I wish I could use full Joomla functionality with it.
