I saw in the user guide that there is an option to hide/show image in the article slider. But guide is for Joomla 2.5.

I cannot find such function for 3.0. Can you advise how to set to no image?

If you installed our latest SJ Article Slider module, there isn't hide/show image option. You can configure in Image Options tab, please choose 'No' in:
From Image Intro
From Image Fulltext
From Inline Introtext
From Inline Fulltext
From External
and Placeholder
