There are two template positions available in the main xml file... main_top and main_bottom and I have added those positions into the layout xml files however it is overlapping with the main content area and position 7. I have read through the documents to add new positions and used FireBug to look into the templates that have a similar position to try and figure it out on my own but I just don't seem to get it.

What do I need to add where to make these positions main_top (above content) and main_bottom (below content) show up correctly with the correct padding??
