Please contact with your hosting provider to enable the extension "mbstring" in the php.ini file.

extension=php_mbstring.dll

I'm on an unmanaged VPS server so, I'm on my own for support on the server. Since this is a Linux server, where should the extension file reside?

Please go to the php.ini file and enable the extension "mbstring" again.

That line does not exist within php.ini so I added it. However, I do not see a file names as such in the extensions directory.

Interestingly, sub-menus seem to work. Only the home menu seems to be a problem... i.e. www.americangearhead.com/cms/index.php/latin-america comes up.
