Is there a way to install smart_news quickstart template without installing sample data?
(Reason is I tried to install smart_news quickstart without installing sample data and then I could not find smart_news template in template manager)

Please let me know is there a trick to do that.

Let me explain how I did. I uploaded the "smart-news_quickstart" folder to my site using Filezilla (I think in the "smart-news_quickstart" folder already have template & all extensions(smart_news using). Then run setup, until the last step, I did not click on "install sample data". When I login to my site and goto template manager, I do not see smart-news template there, only atomic, beez5, beez_20 templates.
It only works if I click on install sample data at the last step then I will see smart-news template in template manager.
So I wonder is there a way to do without clicking on install sample data.

- In your data. You can import the file sample_data.sql
- In the sample_data.sql file you need to replace #__ with the prefix you used.
- sample_data.sql file path: YOUR_QUICKSTART\installation\sql\mysql\sample_data.sql

Thanks for the instruction but I still don't understand & don't know how to do that and I already finished the installation to my site.
