I know Mega Menu can include modules or positions. But how about if I want to display an article when I mouse-over a menu item?

I tried to set these parameters, but nothing is shown up when I mouse over the menu item.

Sorry you had to wait, Mega Content ID will set attribute for the div of child megamenu. It is not article ID.
If you want show an article, you can create a module and select Mega Content Type is modules.
