I have Joomla 2.5.6 installed and I'm using YT News template. I installed SJ Basic News extension but it doesn't display anything...

Has anyone else had this problem?

What could be causing it and how can I solve this problem?

Any ideas/possible solutions to fix this would be great

Have you selected "published" status and menu in Menu Assignment yet? When you install the module, in Module Manager, the module status is "unpublished" and Module Assignment is ''No pages" as default, and you have to set fields again.

Yes I have set it to published and set the main assignment to "On all pages" for the main menu.

The module shows the title and I've set it to show the bottom line, which it does. Just doesn't show any of the content from the category I've selected.

I used the Joomla 1.5 version of this module before without any issues.

I'm in the process of upgrading the site to 2.5 and installed the module for 2.5 but I have this issue as mentioned.

Please check in 'html' folder: (your site)/templates/yt_news/html
Are there "mod_sj_basic_news" folder? If yes, please delete or rename that folder.
