Can I modify the source code to display the 2nd level category as the main heading?

Meaning:

Column 1 Column 2
SubCategory 1 SubCategory 2
- SubsubCategory 1 ...
- SubsubCategory 2 ...

This module supports two levels only. In the next time, we will release new module with three levels and more effects

for some reason i can not see any articles after i had migrate it from my old joomla.
on the slideshow plugin i get the
Has no content to show! error

and on the trending now i have the error
No data displayed on the module. Please check some parameters in the module settings again!

also on latest and polular tabs nothing there aswell

i have select the categories i want

please help

please select your category in our module again eg prntscr.com/gijyr3
I could not found the cause of this issue from your category
your category have the problem. i checked with the default template joomla and the same with this issue
if create new category and add item it is showing normally: newsite.atpreveza.gr/index.php/k2/latest-items

please create category and move the item to the new category
then select the new category in our module again
