Is there a way to display an item as default at base of module when visiting page and before clicking on a category image? At the moment a black page of the root article. See attached.

Easy to do, make a copy of the module and it all makes sense after that. Well I'm new too Joomla and my suggestion to Admin is to spend time in writing a FAQ and a beyond the basics document. A lot of time would be saved I believe.
