I've tried to set only the page name as you have suggest (in URL of Facebook options of module) but in the log I see the same error:

PHP Warning: file_get_contents(graph.facebook.com/PAGENAME?access_token=|&fields=likes): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
in \wwwroot\modules\mod_sj_social_media_counter\core\helper.php on line 74

If I use only the PAGENAME instead of full URL the link to facebook is wrong: myjoomlasite/PAGENAME

I test with facebook URL, name with/or App ID & App Secret (facebook developper).
Can you clearly give a reason ?
