the problem still exist.
I tried this: 8 picture in the folder
{imageboxes}
folder="images/thumbs"
rotate="1"
col="2"
image_width="300"
image_height="300"
show_type="1"
show_title="1"
sort_type="1"
panel_width="300"
panel_height="300"
row="2"
{/imageboxes}

but still the error message: folder doesn´t exit.

I can´t get it to work. The installation is running on a local XAMPP system. Couöd this be the problem?

- please check the image folder first

That worked for me. You should add this to the manual, that everything has to be in one line, and every command has to be seperated by a space.
