SJ Slideshow Userguide

First of all, make sure you always download the newest version. When you buy the module, you already have the last version.
The following documentation is applied for packages from version 1.0 of SJ K2 Slideshow, SJ VM SlideShow and SJ Content SlideShow module.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Joomla! v1.7.x, Joomla! 2.5.x and Joomla! 3.x latest stable versions are highly recommended.

INSTALLATION

1. Prepare your module package (zip file; please UNZIP first if it is indicated in the file name)
2. All steps are in administrator of Joomla!:
  • In your Administrator page, go to Extensions -> Extension Manager
    In this page, click Browse, select module package.
  • Then click Upload & Install

  • Please wait for module being installed, usually within several seconds
  • Now go to Extensions -> Module Manager, click Select Type box and choose the module you have installed
  • Then click the module listed below to configure it as SETTINGS part hereafter

REQUIREMENTS

1. Joomla! v1.7.x, Joomla! 2.5.x or Joomla! 3.0, latest stable version is recommended.

INSTALLATION

1. Prepare your module package (zip file; please UNZIP first if it is indicated in the file name)
2. All steps are in administrator backend of Joomla!:
  • In your Administrator page, go to Extensions -> Extension Manager
    In this page, click Choose File, select module package.
  • Then click Upload & Install

  • Please wait for module being installed, usually within several seconds
  • Now go to Extensions -> Module Manager, click Select Type box and choose the module you have installed
  • Then click the module listed below to configure it as SETTINGS part hereafter

  • Item count - Limit number of item to show in module
  • Item ordering - Allow to choose the criterion for order:

  • Featured items - Allow to show items that meet some factors:
    • Hide: Only items that are not featured are shown

  • Time range (if ordering is set to "most popular" or "most commented" - Allow to choose one of all time range available in this option
  • Fetch only items with media - Allow to show items that have media or not
    • Yes: Allow to show only items that contain media
    • No: Allow to show all items (have media or no-media)

  • Category Limit Title - Allow to set the number of characters in category title
  • Title - Show/hide title of category
  • Title word limit - Allow to set length of title. Enter value 0 if you want to show all
  • Introtext - Show/hide introtext
  • Introtext word limit - Limit number of characters in introtext
  • Read more link - Show/hide read more link
  • Read more Text - Allow you to alter the text for Read more...
  • Show all items - Show/ not show all items

  • Inline Introtext - Allow you to get image from inline introtext OR not

  • Extend Folder - Allow you to get image from external folder OR not
  • Extend Folder - Set path for external image folder used by option above. Using {id}.jpg is for getting the id of image. Using {name}.jpg is for getting the name of image.
  • Priority - Allow you to set order of loading image if you choose getting images from more than one option: image_intro,...
  • Resize Mode - Allow you to choose the mode of image resizing

EFFECT OPTIONS
  • Article Start - Allow you to set the order number of product to be shown for the first sight. The maximum of this is equal with the total of products.
  • Stop when Hover - Allow you to stop slide when being hovered OR not
  • Auto Play -  Allow you to set autoplay for slideshow
  • Interval - Allow you to set time to stop between sliding
  • Effect - Allow you to set effect for slideshow: Slide or Fade
IMAGE OPTIONS
  • From Product - Allow you to get images from product field configured above OR not
  • From External - Allow you to get image from image external source OR not
  • External Path (or Url) - Set path to external image folder used by option above. Using {id}.jpg is for getting the id of image. Using {name}.jpg is for getting the name of image.
  • Order to Get - Allow you to set order of loading image: image_product, external OR external, image_product.
  • Resize Mode - Allow you to choose the mode of image resizing

1. Download Template and Extensions

2. SJ Jare -Installation and Configuration

2.1 Installation

  • Log in Administrator of Joomla!, go to Extensions -> Extension Manager
    On this page, click Choose File button, select our template file you have downloaded then click Upload & Install

2.3 Yt Shortcodes

  • In Administrator of Joomla!, go to Plugin Manager -> Make sure Yt Shortcodes is enabled. This is list of shortcodes that you can use to style content:

  • After that, whenever there is text area then click Shortcodes button, Shortcodes are available for you to be used!

3. Imperative Plugins-Installation and Configuration

You need to install: Yt Plugin.
- Yt Plugin supports Yt Framework for adding extra parameters used with Mega Menu and to compress CSS/JS/HTML when optimizing code.

3.1 Installation

  • Now you install this plugin
  • STEP 1: In Administrator on Joomla!, go to Extensions -> Extension Manager
    On this page, click Choose File button, choose plugin file (extracted from extensions zip file) from then click Upload & Install

  • STEP 2:Now, go to Enable Yt Plugin (for Yt Framework) in Extension/Plug-in Manager

3.2 Configuration of YT Plugin (for Yt Framework)

  • Yt Plugin supports Optimizing CSS/ JS/ HTML and support showing Mega Menus nicely. You can see how to optimize CSS/JS/HTML in Configuration part above and how to use YT Menu Params for styling any Menu Items by remarking an example:

4. Other Extensions - Installation and Configuration

After creating articles and data..., you have to install and configure extensions.

After installing extensions which are included in the SJ Jare template, navigate into Extensions -> Module (or Plug-in) Manager then choose the module or plug-in you want to configure. The following example is choosing a module from Module Manager:
