SJ Cool Showcase Userguide

First of all, make sure you always download the newest version. When you buy the module, you will have the latest version available that time.
The following documentation applies to this module version 1.0 and later. 

REQUIREMENTS

- Joomla! v1.7.x and Joomla! 2.5.x latest stable versions are highly recommended.

INSTALLATION

1. Please refer to installation in administrator of module on Joomla! as following:
  • In your Administrator page, go to Extensions -> Extension Manager
    In this page, click on Choose File button, choose our module (zip file; unzip first if it is indicated in the filename) then click Upload & Install

  • Go to Extensions -> Module Manager, click on Select Type box and choose SJ Content Cool Showcase (this is for Content Component, the same for other components)
  • Then you can change parameters hereafter.
2. Please preview module with layout of SJ Content Cool Showcase for example: 

  • Direction navigation: Button to navigate with many styles can be applied.
  • Navigation button: Click to choose which you want to hightlight.
  • Item: Show title, description and image of article chosen

SETTINGS 

Let's examine all the detail settings of SJ Content Cool Showcase on Joomla 1.7.x

The parameters are divided up into the following 5 areas:
  • Basic Options
  • Source Options
  • Item Options
  • Effects Options
  • Advanced Options
BASIC OPTIONS
  • Module Class Suffix - Please refer here
  • Module Width - Allow you to change width of the module
  • Module Height- Allow you to change height of module
  • Theme - Allow you to choose 1 of 4 themes available
  • Item link target - Set target for links clicked:
    • Sample window
    • New window
    • Popup
SOURCE OPTIONS
  • Select Categories - Choose the source of content that is used to show with this module
  • Subcategories - Allow you to choose if sub-categories (of parent categories above) also shown OR not
  • Sort Order By - Allow to sort the order of articles by:
    • Recently Added
    • Most Viewed
    • Recently Modified
    • Ordering
    • Title
    • Random
  • Source Filter - Allow to show articles that meet some factors:
    • All Items: Show all featured AND not-featured articles as well
    • None Featured: Only Articles that are not featured are shown
    • Only Featured: Only Articles that are featured are shown
  • Limitation - You can set the number of articles to be shown
ITEM OPTIONS
  • Title display - Show the title of article OR not
  • Linkable - Allow you to set links to article from tilte OR not
  • Max Length - Allow to set the length of article title
  • Description Display - Allow you to show article description OR not
  • Description Maxlength- Allow to set the length of article description
  • Strip HTML Tags- Strip HTML tags in description or keep them
  • Keep on Strip Tags - Tags you want to keep even when Strip HTML Tags is Yes, comma separated
Image Options
  • Border Image - You can set image to have border OR not
  • Image Width - Allow you to set the width of the main image
  • Image Height - Allow you to set the height of the main image
  • Image Background - Allow to set the color of image background
  • Image Resize Mode - Allow you to choose the mode of image resizing (see illustrations by hovering this text):
    • None
    • Center
    • Fill
    • Fit
    • Strech
EFFECT OPTIONS
  • Auto Play - Allow to set if sliding auto play OR not
  • Stop when Hover - Allow to stop sliding when being hovered OR not
  • Max Item Visible - Allow to set number of articles visible in slider
  • Slideshow Speed - You can set the speed of sliding, millisecond
  • Auto Play Interval - You can set the interval of sliding, millisecond
  • Mouse Wheel - Allow to set if sliding can be activated under mouse wheel OR just by navigation buttons
  • Show Shadow - Allow to set if shadow of items are visible OR not
  • Show Direction Navigation - Allow to set showing direction navigation OR not
  • Style Direction Navigation - Allow to set the style of direction navigation: full or half bar
  • Show Direction Navigation When - Allow to set when direction navigation visible: 
    • Always
    • Hover
  • Button Navigation - Allow to set showing navigation bar OR not
  • Distance - Allow to set distance between two items in slide
ADVANCED OPTIONS
  • Include jQuery - Allow to choose include jQuery
  • Custom URL - This param allows you to customize the link of each article. If you do not want to go to the detail page of article, you can change the link to another. In the textarea of Custom HTML, please use the following syntax::
    • ArticleID_1:New_URL_1
    • ArticleID_2:New_URL_2
    • ...
      With:
    • ArticleID_1, ArticleID_2,... are ids of Articles. You can see the Id column in Article Manager page in VirtueMart Component.
    • New_URL_1, New_URL_2, New_URL_3 are links which you want to replace the orginal links. Format: http://www.newlink.com
  • Pre Text - The content to show at the top of module
  • Post Text - The content to show at the end of module
  • Caching
    • Use Global: Turn on caching
    • No Caching: Turn off caching
  • Cache Times - The time to cache
