TOPIC: JQuery conflict

JQuery conflict 9 years, 7 months ago #20931

On my website I can not add items from the front page because yt plugin causing a conflict. The buttons in the editor do not work. I believe it is a jquery conflict, but I'm not sure! Also, I do not know how to solve this, but this should be a problem with yt plugin because with the default joomla template and plugin disabled everything works as it should. What I understand, as a beginner, is that both the plugin and joomla jquery load the libraries. How do I fix this?

Thanks,

Before I forget, I have on my domain the quick start package installed so that it is exactly the same as your demo. I just added a link to the main menu to submit an Article.

Dear F.W. Vossebelt,

Have you turn off Merge File in Template manager -> Advanced yet?
If it still does not work, please send us the screenshot so we can take a closer look on your issue.

Thanks & regards!

Thanks for your reply.

I attached 2 screenshots. The first is the error that i get in firebug when i click console error. In the second screenshot you can see that jquery is loading twice. From joomla and from the template so far as i can see.

update

It has something to do with plg_sj_yt_j3.3_v2.2.4 because if i uninstall it and install yt_j3.2_v2.2.3 the conflict seems to solved.

Has anyone looked at it so we can start setting up our website? Merge File in Template Manager is off.

Hi F.W. Vossebelt,

Please try to install Jquery Easy plugin and enable it to avoid conflict Javascript files.

Thanks & regards!

I install the plugin as you suggested but it doesn't solve the problem. How to configure this plugin please?
